What Topics are Covered in the Parenting Atlas?
The Parenting Atlas brings together expert knowledge and practical guidance in one comprehensive resource. It is thoughtfully organised into five main parts, each with five to six easy-to-read chapters addressing different dimensions of child-rearing and family life. Together, these sections provide parents with the confidence and clarity needed to nurture healthy, happy children while supporting overall family wellbeing.
Part 1: Nourish Them Right
Focuses on the importance of nutrition from the earliest days of life. It covers breastfeeding, complementary feeding, healthy eating habits, tackling malnutrition and picky eating, as well as practical tips for family meals that support growth and wellbeing.
Part 2: Keep Them Healthy
Provides essential information on protecting children from illnesses and strengthening their immunity. This section highlights common childhood diseases, allergies, hygiene practices, immunisation, and the role of physical activity in maintaining overall health.
Part 3: Watch Them Bloom
Explores child growth and development across different stages. Parents and caregivers will find guidance on monitoring growth, understanding developmental milestones, and addressing common growth and neurodevelopmental challenges.
Part 4: Make It Safe for Kids
Dedicated to ensuring children’s safety in all environments. From home and outdoor safety to road, cyber, and feeding safety, this section also equips families with basic first aid knowledge for handling accidents and injuries.
Part 5: Family First
Look beyond the child to the wider family context. It offers insights into family planning, managing finances, positive parenting approaches, discipline strategies, and mental health, all aimed at building stronger, healthier family bonds.
